A little late, maybe, but the Halifax Building Society (now part of the Bank of Sctoland) have produced this report (in Word format) which highlights the recent successes of properties in seaside towns. Dorset has the highest priced seaside town (Sandbanks), whereas the ex-mining town of Seaham in County Durham is the best performer over the past five years. Porthcawl is the best performer over the past year.
