… mainly because we couldn’t decide what to do. It was the end of spring term, so to celebrate we had nice pizzas from Tesco, with easter eggs from Tesco, and Cava from … Tesco. Time for some ad placements in this blog, methinks.
… which used the remaining vegetable stew / chilli thing from Wednesday, with extra chopped tomatoes. It actually tasted nice!
… although actually it was a small filled pasta, with a vegetable sauce, with loads of vegetables that were lying around in the fridge. Lots of garlic, easy on the green peppers.
… which turned out to be a quiche from Tesco (it had asparagus in it, which is always good fun when the bladder empties later on), and I did roast courgettes, turnip, and potato.
… oh God, this is getting bad. I’ll get back to you.

… which was the main meal of the weekend. We all cooked something - the starter from Del and Paul was salad with something. Sorry, D&P - can’t remember! It was lovely though. The main was from Les and Rob, who made a fish pie. Puddings were a really good chocolate cheesecake from us, which had really more chocolate than was good for us, and Monica and Ray brought cheesecakes and a lovely lemon tart from their prospective son-in-law.
… where we camped for the weekend with four other couples to celebrate Sue’s 60th birthday. Tonight, we had some vegetarian chilli that Sue brought from home.
… this time to Ed and Julia’s (with John and Sue), where we started with canapes of thin toast and olive paste, and went on to a starter of soup (broccoli I think), followed by a main of a fish pie in pastry case. They tried to confuse us by following that with cheese and biscuits, which was then followed by a gorgeous summer pudding and creme fraiche. Lovely meal.
… so we had past pesto - the red kind of pesto for a change. Simple and quick, which was nice.
