… which was by Annie and was a soup with mushrooms and coconut milk, (from a Sainsbury’s calendar!) with the usual garlic etc. Very nice, creamy soup.
which were a goat’s cheese flan from Tesco, with vegetable wedges done in special olive oil with spices and my ingredient of the moment - mustard.
… and it’s the vegetable chilli from yesterday that I put in the fridge last night. Yummy.
… and before we went to the pictures, Annie (with a bit of help from me) prepared a vegetable chilli, to which I added some wholegrain and English mustard. By the time we got back from the flicks, I was too full of pick and mix to eat it.
… and it’s the frozen fish thing - haddock in breadcrumbs, with roasted new potatoes and peas.
.. which means I had planned to do frozen fish and vegetables, but Annie suggested getting a pizza from Pizza Hut, so we had two large pizzas between the three of us, a Vegetable Supreme and a Super Supreme with the cheesy crust thing. I’m sure you can get ointment for cheesy crusts.
… so I had nothing. Annie made some soup (carrots and sweet potato) for Paul, which was nice.
… so I did pasta and green pesto. Always nice, with some left over for tomorrow’s lunch.
… because it’s Shrove Tuesday. And to celebrate, Annie made some pancake mixture in the morning and put it in the fridge like you’re supposed to. So for dinner we had pancakes, one with cheese which was our savoury, and the rest with jam and sugar and ice cream and cream.
Annie had a big lunch on her day out, so I made do with a sausage sandwich, made with pork and apple sausages, home-made parmesan and sun-dried tomato bread, toasted, with a bit of mustard and pickle. Which was very nice.
